How does Mighty Atom make websites so affordable?

Website technology today is highly evolved, automated, open-source and modular. Building straightforward and high-quality websites is largely a process of selecting the components you require and slotting them together. There is very little complexity involved, just a good understanding of how they all work together.

I use industry-leading website componentry that help make website creation cheap, fast, simple, effective and highly professional.

I build websites using the WordPress platform.

WordPress is a world leader in its field. Its website technologies let me build sites quickly and with best-practice methodologies.

Other costs

Hosting and website name

Once your website is built, it needs to have a domain (your website address) and be hosted online.

These together work out at around $4.00 a week. (I know, great value, eh!)

Edit your site yourself or get our help

All my websites are built to let their owners easily add words or put up photos themselves in the future. (It’s just like using MS Word). Or I’m happy to do that for you for a small fee.

Website photos

  • Personal photos: Want some great photos of you and your business on your website? We can come to your place and take a portfolio of pictures to use on the site — $115*.
  • Stock photos: Choose professional stock photos from istock. Purchase and email to us. Or pick free ones from Unsplash. We’ll use as many photos as you want to send us. Our photo editing work is part of your chosen website package price.

Video

  • We can video activities at your workplace to use as video clips on your website — $150*.
  • Great for the personal touch and also for showing how to do things.

Custom forms

  • When you’re looking to collect information from customers, a customised online form makes it easy for them to give you the info and easy for you to collect the info — $45.

* This price is for Kapiti and Horowhenua businesses. Travel expenses will need to be added for businesses outside Kapiti and Horowhenua.
